The rules
forkit is for cooking. Everything you post should be a recipe, or about food and cooking.
Allowed
- Recipes, cook notes and tips
- Photos of food, ingredients, drinks, kitchens, cookware, markets, and people cooking or eating
- Photos or screenshots of recipes
Not allowed
- Nudity, sexual content, or anything sexual involving minors (reported to the authorities)
- Ads or offers for anything that isn’t food: services, meetings, jobs, travel, money
- Phone numbers, emails, social media handles or links in public recipes
- Violence, hate and harassment
- Using forkit to store or share files that aren’t about cooking
How it’s enforced
- Every photo is checked automatically before it’s saved. Photos that aren’t about food are turned away.
- Public recipes are checked before others can see them. Anything that looks wrong waits for a person to review it.
- New accounts can share publicly after their first day.
- Breaking the rules gets an account locked. Serious cases are reported to the police and to NCMEC.
- Photos uploaded but never added to a recipe are deleted after a day.
See something wrong?
Use Report at the bottom of any public recipe. When several people report a recipe, it’s hidden until we’ve looked at it.
